Keep your fitness going over the summer with our six top fitness tips:
1. Get outside and move!
Simple as that. Whether you are a runner, biker, yogi, hiker, gymrat, CrossFitter, or you just like to walk…..Enjoy what you do and Keep Moving!
The upcoming warm months are the perfect time to stay active and do what you love outdoors. You don’t have to follow a super strict regiment of exercise, as long as you keep your body moving have some fun while sweating!
2. Play sports!
Sports are a great way to stay active and have some competitive fun! Whether it’s on the field, court, or recreational park, playing sports will give you smiles while still exercising a ton!
3. Try something new!
Having a consistent routine is important, however it never hurts to switch it up every once in a while. Get some friends and sign up for that new spin class you’ve heard about, or instead of taking the day off relaxing at home, go for a long walk or hike in a nearby park and explore! Adding something exciting and fresh into your summer weeks will help keep things moving and who knows…you might even find a new passion!
4. Grab a friend!
Doing things alone can get tough, so grab a friend and keep each other accountable as you hit the gym this summer. It’s much easier to stick to your fitness goals when you have someone watching. Plus, there are many pros to working out with a buddy: you can carpool to the gym, you’ll always have a spotter, and you’ll always have someone to take those instagram fitness photos for you!
5. Hit the beach!
The next time you’re relaxing at the shore, try to get a little sweat going before you lay down to tan. Running, walking or even doing yoga/pilates on the sand will provide a nice challenge since the uneven surfaces will require your muscles to work little harder.
6. Have fun!
The fitness journey is all about taking care of ourselves and loving our bodies! The gym shouldn’t be a place you dread going to, you should look forward to the steps you are taking for your future self! So no matter what you do, make sure you are staying safe and having fun! Enjoy the process!
